Memorial Day Weekend-Glen Rose, TX

Jordan has been working so hard (60 hours a week!) and finally got a day off for Memorial Day. We had to take advantage! So we packed our bags and headed east to the much more beautiful side of Texas:). Jordan's brother Chase and his family came too (celebrating Chases wife's birthday!).
We first explored Fossil Rim Park. We went on a 2 hour guided tour through the park. This park is awesome because it has most of all the animals you would find in Africa-giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, etc... The animals would walk right up to the bus and want to be fed.
The next day we went to a dinosaur museum-so fun! The kids got dig for dinosaur fossil-they loved it!
Finally, we had to stop at the BSR cable park for Jordan:) he had a blast! Mckenna and I also enjoyed watching Jordan and picking the flowers around the lake!

Livin' the Southern Life

Well I recently was informed that I don't put pictures up anymore!  So here is a glimpse of what the Johnsons have been up to for that last few months!

We are living in Midland, TX for next 6-8 months (depends on how long Jordan's project goes for the company he is working for right now.  Same company he worked for last year).  So we are enjoying the warm weather and spending time with Jordan's brother Chase and their family. 

 While Jordan works his 10 hour shift (60 hour week), McKenna and I find lots to do together.  We love school time, library/story time, playing at the park and hanging out with cousins.  She is getting so big and so smart! She knows all her letters and recognizes all her numbers up to 10! She is full of energy and plays pretend all day long.  Our names change all day long-Princess Mommy and Princess McKenna, Little Foot and Peatree, Dora and Boots, etc. :)    

Jordan and I still find time to do fun things to do (well fun for a desert!).  Our latest hobby is tennis-our new weekly date night (free and fun!:)

McKenna's 2 Year Birthday

Yep McKenna is two-years-old! I seriously can't believe how fast she is growing up! 

She is so funny and smart-we couldn't be more proud of her! This year for McKenna's birthday, we had a little friend swim party at the lake.  A couple of days later we celebrated her birthday again with family.  

McKenna's Caldwell buddies, Clara, Ellie and Mallory, came to her friend party. They all had a blast burying each other in the sand and splashing in the water!

McKenna's family part was like Christmas! McKenna got so many fun things! She was so excited about everything!

McKenna's Uncle Jesse (and family), Aunt Kristie, Uncle Casey, Uncle Austin, and Johnson grandparents all came out for the event!

July!!

The month of July has just flown by! We have had so much fun running Wake Central plus having lots of family visit.  Jordan's brother, Chase, and his family came to visit for a week.  It was so great to see them again and hang out with their adorable 3 kids!

Boise Zoo

We first got to go to the Boise Zoo! So fun!

The next day we went boating for the first time this summer.

McKenna loved being back with her cousins, Hailey, Caden, and Cameron! We are so grateful for Chase and Heather and their little family-they are great examples to us.

Pigtails!

A monumental event happened this month. McKenna has long enough hair to have pigtails! YAY! I have been waiting for this day a long time!

 Enjoying the Summer

This summer has been hot! We are in the water every day just so we can cool off- it has been awesome! McKenna is becoming quite the little swimmer/suntanned baby.
